Dog Friendly is a campaign designed to promote the integration of one of Australia’s most loved family pets into part of our society. Rather than be locked in backyards all day while their owners work, the campaign suggests they should be allowed to go to the shops, travel on public transport and be properly socialised under the supervision of their owners, as they are able to do in Europe.
Central to this project was the development of a website where images of dogs out and about with their owners in Europe could be instantly uploaded with a caption and location pinpoint from a smartphone device. The website also featured a simple petition that could be signed by supporters who were made aware of the campaign through distribution of promotional merchandise and posters.
The design brief was for a fun, clean and easy to engage design that would appeal to a wide market – dog owners from all walks of life.
